چکیده

Many cyclophanes have been investigated in dilute solution, where their internal cavities are accessible for supramolecular interactions. However, their photophysical properties in the solid state remain largely unexplored. We here report a new mechanoand thermoresponsive luminescent cyclophane that is comprised of two 9,10-bis(phenylethynyl)anthracene moieties and features two hexaethylene glycol bridges. The compound was found to exhibit a nematic liquid-crystalline phase at elevated temperature. X-ray diffraction patterns confirm that thermal and mechanical treatments induce changes in the molecular assembly, which are the basis for the observed photoluminescent color variations. The stimuli-responsive behavior of the new compound is quite different from that of a previously reported cyclophane with similar structure but shorter bridges. Thus, merely changing the ring size is an effective tool to tailor the stimuli-responsiveness and the phase behaviour of luminescent cyclophanes.

A Thermo- and Mechanoresponsive Cyano-Substituted Oligo(p-phenylene vinylene) Derivative with Five Emissive States.

Multiresponsive materials that display predefined photoluminescence color changes upon exposure to different stimuli are attractive candidates for advanced sensing schemes. Herein, we report a cyano-substituted oligo(p-phenylene vinylene) (cyano-OPV) derivative that forms five different solvent-free solid-state molecular assemblies, luminescence properties of which change upon thermal and mecha...

Evaluating the effect of energy on calibration of thermo-luminescent dosimeters 7-LiF:Mg,Cu,P (GR-207A)

Background: 7-LiF: Mg,Cu,P (GR-207A) is one kind of thermo-luminescent dosimeters (TLD) which can be used in diagnostic radiology and radiotherapy applications. Because of having suitable properties such as good sensitivity, small size and being tissue equivalent, thermo-luminescent dosimetry has been one of the most important techniques in medicine over many years. Choosing a correct energy fo...

Grinding size-dependent mechanoresponsive luminescent Cd(ii) coordination polymer.

In this work, we report a new mechanoresponsive luminescent Cd(ii) coordination polymer that exhibits a sensitivity to mechanical stimulation. The luminescence colour changed gradually from weak yellowish-green to bright cyan in response to different grinding sizes, thereby showing interesting mechanochromic properties, namely a grinding-enhanced luminescence and good crystalline maintenance ab...

Evaluation of Absorbed Dose of Critical Organ in Rando Phantom under Head, Abdomen and Pelvis Spiral CT Scan by Thermo Luminescent Dosimetery - TLD

Background & Objectives: Computed tomography (CT) represents 11% of all diagnostic radiology procedures but it contributes to almost 67% of the total effective dose to the human population. In head and neck CT which consist of 1/3 of total CT scans, other critical organs such as lenses and thyroid are in the radiation field. Also in the abdomen and pelvis scan, irradiation of ovaries is unavoid...

Integrated Characterization and a Tuning Strategy for the PVT Analysis of Representative Fluids in a Gas Condensate Reservoir

Gas condensate reservoirs are characterized by a distinctive retrograde behavior and potential for condensate drop out during production and sampling. Efficient modeling of gas condensate reservoir requires careful phase behavior studies of samples collected prior to and during the production life of reservoir. In this work, an integrated characterization and tuning algorithm is proposed to ana...
